Family Law-financial provision-disclosure of assets

A wealthy husband”s provision of legal representation at his own expense for a dependent wife is appropriate, inter alia, to ensure that there is no imbalance in their representation and that the wife”s interests are properly advanced and protected. The husband should not, however, be ordered to pay the fees of accountants the petitioner wishes to employ to investigate the present and likely future value of the husband”s assets when the summary of his financial affairs provided under oath is clear, and there is nothing to suggest it is false.
